Poker Types Available at mk88
The most popular forms of Poker are all in one place at mk88. Learn what makes each format unique and pick the one that suits you.
Texas Hold'em
The format used in most major Poker tournaments worldwide. Each player receives 2 cards and combines them with 5 Community Cards to build the best hand. The favourite Poker format among Myanmar players.
Omaha Poker
Similar to Texas Hold'em, but each player receives 4 cards. You must use exactly 2 of those 4 cards and exactly 3 Community Cards, which makes strategy considerably deeper.
Live Dealer Poker
Play in real time with real dealers via video streaming. It feels like being in a casino without leaving home. Includes Caribbean Stud and Three-Card Poker variants.
Short Deck Poker
Cards 2 through 5 are removed, so players get fresh action more often. Hand rankings differ slightly and big hands come up more frequently. Great for players who want faster games.
Poker Tournament
Pay a buy-in, start with a fixed chip stack, and play until one player remains. Cash prizes are distributed according to the payout structure. Both Sit-and-Go and Multi-Table Tournament formats are available.
Video Poker
No dealer or other players needed — play against the machine alone. Variants like Jacks or Better and Deuces Wild are included, making it a great starting point for poker beginners.
Poker Hand Ranking — Hand Rankings
To play poker, you need to know which hand beats which. The ranking below follows the standard used in Texas Hold'em and Omaha, listed from strongest to weakest.

| Straight | 5 consecutive cards of mixed suits |
| Three of a Kind | 3 cards of the same rank |
| Two Pair | Two pairs |
| One Pair | 2 cards of the same rank |
| High Card | None of the above hands |
Poker Strategy Basics
You might think winning at poker is mostly luck. But experienced players consistently get better results through strategy and discipline. Here are 4 key tips for new players at mk88 —
Use Your Position
Playing in a late position (close to the Dealer Button) lets you see other players' decisions before acting, so you can make better choices. In early position, play a tighter range of hands.
Understand Pot Odds
Know the ratio between the pot size and the amount you need to call. Only call when that ratio is better than your drawing odds — this protects your profitability over the long run.
Control Your Bluffs
Bluffing is part of poker, but bluffing too often will cost you money. Only bluff when the situation tells a believable story, and study your opponent's calling tendencies first.
Manage Your Bankroll
Play at a stake level no higher than 5% of your bankroll. Set a stop time for each session in advance and avoid tilt (making decisions out of frustration). You can use mk88's Session Limit Settings to help with this.
Welcome Bonus for Poker Players
First-time depositors at mk88 can receive a 120% welcome bonus — up to 500,000 Ks. For example, deposit 20,000 Ks and get a 24,000 Ks bonus on top, giving you 44,000 Ks to bring to the poker table. To withdraw the bonus, you must complete a 10x wagering requirement on the bonus amount (24,000 Ks × 10 = 240,000 Ks).
Deposit methods — KBZPay, Wave Money, AYA Pay and Bank Transfer — starting from a minimum of 10,000 Ks. Withdrawals require a minimum of 30,000 Ks and are processed within 30 minutes to 3 hours.
